Afghan Forces Bust Drug Lab, Arrest Ten Smugglers in Ghor Province

(MENAFN) Afghan security forces have dismantled a secretive drug-processing facility and detained 10 individuals involved in drug smuggling in the western Ghor province, according to reports.

Counter-narcotics units carried out operations on the outskirts of Tulak and Saghar districts, destroying the lab and confiscating 30 kilograms of substances used in heroin production. In a separate crackdown in Allah Yar district, authorities seized 470 kilograms of illegal drugs and apprehended 10 smugglers, as stated by reports.

The Afghan government has stepped up efforts to combat illicit drug networks, pledging to continue operations until poppy cultivation and related heroin production are eradicated from the country.
